1. Parties & definitions
“DGTL” means DGTL Group, Toronto, Canada, including the DGTL Influence Journal and other DGTL-owned properties and channels. “You” means the applicant who signed the application. “Material” means the files, links, text and information you submitted through the application.
2. The licence you grant
You grant DGTL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, display and distribute your Material for promotional and editorial use on DGTL-owned properties and channels.
- Scope: promotional and editorial use on DGTL-owned properties and channels.
- Territory: worldwide.
- Term: until revoked by you with 30 days written notice.
3. Revocation
You may revoke this licence at any time by written notice (email is fine). Revocation takes effect 30 days after notice. After revocation DGTL will remove your Material from active DGTL properties; copies that already left DGTL’s control (e.g. printed pieces, third-party reposts) are outside what removal can reach.
4. Edits & derivative versions — separate opt-in
Only if you opted in during the application may DGTL cut, crop, reformat or otherwise adapt your Material (for example for Reels, broadcast packaging, or print). If you chose “publish as-is only,” DGTL uses your Material exactly as supplied.
5. Broadcast & syndication — separate opt-in
The base licence covers DGTL’s online properties only. Radio, television, satellite and podcast broadcast (for example Sirius XM programming) is a separate, explicit grant made only if you opted in during the application. You can withdraw it the same way as the base licence.
6. AI training — excluded by default
Your Material is not used to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models unless you explicitly turned the opt-out off in your application. The opt-out is on by default.
7. Ownership, credit & warranties
Ownership and copyright in your Material stay with you; this agreement transfers nothing. DGTL credits you using the credit line you provided. By submitting, you warrant that you own or control the rights to the Material, that third-party contributors you listed are accurately credited, and that your Material doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.
8. Your data
Application data is stored on DGTL-controlled infrastructure; media files are stored in a private storage bucket and are not publicly accessible until a profile you approve goes live. Rates you share are never published. Unsubmitted drafts are deleted after 90 days of inactivity. To have your application and media deleted, email us — we remove records and files within 30 days, keeping only what law requires.
9. Marketing consent (CASL)
The marketing-email checkbox in the application is an express consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. It is optional, separate from this licence, and every message includes an unsubscribe. DGTL Group, Toronto, Canada.
10. Signature & version
Your typed name, the date, and your IP address at submission are recorded as your signature, together with the version of these terms in force (shown at the top of this page). If these terms change materially, the version changes, and existing signatures keep the terms they signed.
